Hi! Me again!
Well, I must confess that I also planned to do a Linda McCartney look thing, too. I mean, she was the perfect example of a "preppy" but cool 60s chick. Go Linda!
Here it is, done on Heather, or AKA LindaMcCartney. (it's a tribute account thing--- check it out!)
Makeup How-to:
You will need:
-Black lengthening mascara
Yes, that's right! Only one thing! You really don't need much, because if you know who Linda was, you know that she rarely wore makeup in the 60s.
First, apply some mascara to the top lashes.
Last, make sure that your lip color is pale-ish or pink. You know, natural!
Want to dress like a very casual Mrs. McCartney?
Here's a typical look. Very laid back.
You will need:
-White button-down blouse (Stardoll) (Not shown)
-Cashmere sweater (Stardoll)
-Wide-legged jeans (Fudge)
-heeled loafers (I dunno where I got them... possibly from Stardoll) (Linda is shown wearing moccasins, but if you Google her you will find her in loafers)
Face it, anyone can get the Linda McCartney look. You really don't need makeup, and you don't need to be a super-star to snag all of these clothing items!
To nail the actual "Linda look" you will see that Linda McCartney has a lot of really exotic and really great clothes. Mostly, it is light denim, you know?
IN REAL LIFE:
The look is an acceptable "around the house" and casual look, if you want to wear it in real life. Jeans are not hard to come by, and neither are loafers and collared shirts. I wear it around a lot, because it's not trashy (for example, would you wear Abercrombie sweatpants when you are casually hanging out with friends? Those are acceptable for the house, but not socially. Actually Abercrombie and Aeropostale and even Hollister are frowned upon in the fashion industry!)
Enjoy!
